The Future of Flute

Nashville, TN- The newest addition to the Pearl Flutes Artist Roster, Zachary Kellogg has taken off running into the world of professional flute playing. At only 13-years-old, Zach has achieved competitive success nationally and internationally and has earned his way onto the prestigious stage of Carnegie Hall. 2010 marks his sixth year of flute study and has been especially notable – winning the Alexander Buono International Flute Competition and his upcoming Carnegie Hall performance on October 24th. Also this year Zach placed 1st in the Seattle Young Artist Concerto Competition, signed a deal with Pony Boy Records, and released his first Jazz CD entitled, Red Velvet- available on Amazon. The CD features the wunderkind with a rhythm section of seasoned pros, amongst whom (as you can hear) he feels right at home. Zach currently studies classical and jazz flute with industry legend Jim Walker and classical piccolo with Wendi Wilhelmi. He plays a Pearl 22K Champagne Gold Cantabile Series Flute.
